The Greater Clear Lake Area includes both Harris and Galveston Counties, and parts of Houston & Pasadena.  Encompassing about 125 square miles, nine distinct communities distinguish this highly diversified, balanced economic structure.

The thriving Clear Lake area's strong base features aerospace, high-technology, petrochemical, commercial fishing and boating industries.  Tourist attractions and visitor friendly businesses have promoted tremendous growth in the hospitality and tourism sector in the recent years.

Clear Lake Shores - An island community located on the southeastern side of Clear Lake, at the entrance to Jarboe Bayou.  Clear Lake Shores offers peaceful small town attitude amid big city conveniences.  It is the home to four major marinas, one of which, with 1,300 boat slips, is the largest privately owned marina in the country.

EL Lago - Located on the west bank of Taylor Lake to the northern shore of Clear Lake.  Previously the home of Jean Lafitte's pirates, this residential community has experienced a major growth spurt when NASA arrived in 1961 and is proud to be the home of several astronauts. Ferry Boat
